This metamodel captures organizational design as a federated, composable model — treating the structure, strategy, capabilities, processes, and coordination of an organization as first-class artifacts that can be authored, validated, versioned, and consumed alongside other Nasdanika models such as capability catalogs, application portfolios, product management models, and operational telemetry.
The metamodel is a synthesis of standard dimensions found across the organizational design literature. Readers interested in deeper treatment of the underlying concepts should consult Galbraith’s Star Model, Burton & Obel’s contingency-based design, Mintzberg’s organizational configurations and coordination mechanisms, and Nadler & Tushman’s congruence model. The metamodel deliberately does not implement any single framework; it provides a shared vocabulary that consumers can specialize for their context.
Designed to compose with other Nasdanika models via Maven and GitLab URI handlers. Capabilities defined here can be referenced from a product management model, organizational units can be cross-referenced from an application portfolio model, and roles can be referenced from a process or telemetry model — each via a versioned URI resolved transparently against the consumer’s classpath or repository.
